Basketball
The Boys & Girls Club of Corvallis offers basketball for boys and girls in grades K-8.
Grades K-4 is a developmental program that plays only in Corvallis.
K basketball is an introductory camp that is held on Friday evenings. 1st-4th grade: Smaller courts and balls allow children to learn proper fundamentals at an early age. Teams formed by school if possible. Practices are during the week, 1-2 nights per week in the evening. Grades 1-2 are coed, and grades 3-4 have separate divisions for girls & boys.
Grades 5-8 participate in the competitive, traveling Valley League.
Balance teams are formed based on school attended (no try-outs are necessary – everyone gets placed). Practices are during the week, generally in the early evening. Games are played during the week. This league plays other organizations in the mid-valley, so travel to Albany, Lebanon (for example) is necessary. All grades will attend a skills clinic/evaluation night for team placement. Separate divisions for girls & boys.
