CHEERLEADING

1st-3rd grade cheer is designed as an introduction to the sport of cheer as a squad as well as developing the basic cheer skills and tumbling to advance to the next level. There are two separate seasons: Fall & Winter.

Registration for Fall season opens in Summer.

Registration for Winter opens in December

 

1. COST:   Athletic Fee (TBD) +  Uniform Fee (TBD). Uniform fee includes customized shell, body liner, skort, bow, poms and shoes and practice shorts & shirt. Returning Cheerleaders will not have a uniform charge, unless extra pieces are needed.

2. TIME COMMITMENT: 2-3 commitments per week (Team practices twice a week and cheers at pre-selected flag football games in the fall and basketball games in the winter as well as events throughout the season).

3. SEASON LENGTH: 

Fall - Begins in September 2020

Winter – Begins in January, 2021

4. PRACTICES:

a. 2 practices/week (1 hour each).

b. Days & Times – TBD

c. Fall Beginning Sept.  2020

Winter - Beginning in January  2021

5. GAMES & EVENTS:

a. Cheer for selected Flag Football  games and special events on weeknights and some Saturdays

b. Minimum of four games/events during the season (2 hours each)

c. 2 weeks of practice minimum before cheering for the first game

d. Albany & Corvallis Parades

e.  High School Youth Night

f. Oregon State Intermission & Half time performances

6. SCHOLARSHIPS & FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

We strive to lower the financial barriers around cheerleading. Please ask about financial assistance that is available! A limited amount of scholarships are available each season. Please apply in person, proof of income is required.
