CHEERLEADING

1st-3rd grade cheer is designed as an introduction to the sport of cheer as a squad as well as developing the basic cheer skills and tumbling to advance to the next level. There are two separate seasons: Fall & Winter.

 

Registration for Fall begins in the June.  Registration for Winter begins in December.

 

1. COST:   $89 Athletic Fee + $115 Uniform Fee. Uniform fee includes skirt, customized shell, body liner, briefs, bow, poms and shoes. Returning cheerleaders will not have a uniform fee, unless there are extra pieces that need to be ordered.

2. TIME COMMITMENT: 2-3 commitments per week (Team practices every Tuesday and Thursday, and includes tumbling instruction and cheers at pre-selected flag football games in the fall and basketball games in the winter as well as events throughout the season).

3. SEASON LENGTH:

Fall - Begins in September 2018

Winter – Begins in January 11, 2018

4. PRACTICES:

a. 2 practices/week (1 hour each).

b. Tuesday/Thursdays 5:30PM – 6:30PM at Linus Pauling

c. Tumbling practice is included and is held during practice time

d. Fall Beginning September 2018

Winter - Beginning in January 2018

5. GAMES:

a. Cheer for selected basketball games and special events on weeknights and some Saturdays

b. Minimum of four games/events during the season (2 hours each)

c. 2 weeks of practice minimum before cheering for the first game

 

6. SCHOLARSHIPS & FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

We strive to lower the financial barriers around cheerleading. Please ask about financial assistance that is available! A limited amount of scholarships are available each season. Please apply in person, proof of income is required.
