Junior Baseball Organization (JBO) allows the player to grow with the field, as each age division plays on a field designed in size that is appropriate for his/her age. JBO’s rules allow the player to develop their baseball skills by playing with high school rules, namely leading off and stealing bases. We separate the players into 3 distinct age divisions, and then again into 3 distinct levels of play according to ability and experience. Junior Level JBO is for players that are 11 & 12 years old, as of August 1st of the current year.
The Junior level plays on a 70' base, 50' pitching distance diamond. JBO uses High School rules with a few modifications, including leading off and stealing.
There are 2 possible levels of play at the Junior Level. Placement on teams in each level are determined by skill. The goal is to place players on teams where they can have success regardless of skill or ability, but still be challenged. Teams at every level will compete in the Valley District JBO against other teams of similar skill and ability.
American division (Intermediate) You must attend an evaluation session in order to be considered for this team
National division (Competitive) All players that do not make an American level team, or attend an evaluation session will have a roster spot on a National team.
Team level placement in the Valley District will be determined first by the number of players that are registered in a level, then by the JBO matrix. A team can always "play up" into a higher level division.
Registration base fees:
On time $95 Late $105
Registration fees included a full uniform (jersey, pants, hat, socks)
Tournament play is available for all levels of play at an extra charge, fees above and beyond "base" fee will be determined on a team by team basis.
