Kinder Club
Kinder Club is an academic and enrichment program for students who attend morning kindergarten. The program runs from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM every school day. Kinder Club offers a structured environment where children participate in planned activities, including reading, math, science, nature arts & crafts, music, and physical movement. Kinder Club News - December 2011
Dear Kinder Club Families,
Corvallis School District has benchmarks that they want each child to reach by the end of kindergarten. We have tied our curriculum in with these benchmarks to help your child reach these goals. Our current focus is on correlating upper and lower case letters and the sounds that each make. Every other week we introduce a new “mini-book” to the kids. We read this book during Kinder Club and then the children receive their own copy of the book to personalize with pictures or words and take home. Please ask your child about these books and ask them if they can read it to you. The repetitiveness and predictability of the books helps encourage letter and word recognition.
We would also like to invite you to join us on December 15th from 1:30 to 2:30pm for an Open House. Your child will have a chance to show you what they have been doing during Kinder Club. We will have activities for you to participate in with your child. Light refreshments will be served. Please RSVP to the front office at 541-757-1909 no later than December 13th. If you are unable to make it on the 15th, please feel free to stop by any time to see what’s keeping us busy!
One last thing! We have noticed that some of the children seem to be getting hungry in the afternoon. If you feel your child would benefit from a snack, please feel free to send one.

Kinder Club
Kinder Club is an afternoon kindergarten extension for children attending morning kindergarten at another site. The school district will provide bus transportation from Adams, Franklin, Hoover, Jefferson and Wilson schools to the Club. Kinder Club offers a structured environment where children participate in planned activities including reading, math, science, nature, arts & crafts, music, and physical education. Lunch is provided by the Corvallis School District.
The 2011-2012 program will run from September 12, 2011 to June 15, 2012.
Enrollment is $300 per child, per month. A $25 Club membership is required.
Our curriculum is personalized to meet the academic and enrichment needs of the children in Kinder Club.
Typical Daily Schedule
Time Activity 11:20 - 12:00 Kids arrive at the Club (see below), check-in, activities 12:00 - 12:30 Hand washing and Lunch 12:30 - 1:00 Hand washing and story/cirlce time 1:00 - 1:30 Physical activity 1:30 - 2:00 Daily theme related activity 2:00 - 2:30 Rotating stations (vary week to week) Focused on literacy, math, science and fine motor skills 2:30 Dismissal School District provides transportation from Adams, Franklin, Hoover, Jefferson, and Wilson schools to the Club. Parents are responsible for arranging transportation following Kinder Club.
