Lincoln Lion's Den

The Lion's Den program works in partnership with Lincoln School to create a smooth transition from the school day to after-school care and maintaining the school's behavior expectations and classroom rules. We maintain a structured environment and group students into classes by grade. Each class is staffed with a lead and assistant teacher, keeping 1-to-10 staff to student ratio, interns and volunteers provide additional one-on-one support.

The program operates on school days. The structure and schedule of the program is designed for regular attendance to match the school week, and unless students are excused by a parent or guardian, students are expected to attend the after-school program daily (Monday-Friday). In addition to program fees, an annual Boys & Girls Club membership ($25) is due at enrollment, giving students the option of going to the Boys & Girls Club on non-school days. Scholarships are available.

For the 2011 School Year registration for Lions Den will be done in 3 terms, not 2 semesters as in years past. The terms will begin on these dates:

Fall, September 26, 2011
Winter, January 2, 2012
Spring, April 2, 2012

Please note that Lincoln Lion's Den will be closed the last week of school. However, our Clubhouse on Circle Blvd will have regular programming during that week.

Who Can Register

All K-5 students who are currently enrolled at Lincoln School have the opportunity to apply for the Lion's Den Program. However, please note that your child's acceptance into the program is based not only on a first-come first-served basis, but is also based on attendance and past performance in after-school programs.

There are 85 spots available in this program. Children will be enrolled on a first-come first served basis with priority given to students previously enrolled in the Lion's Den program with good attendance. Additionally, families identified by teachers and school staff will have first consideration. Once full, applicants will be placed on a waiting list. As spaces become available, eligible families will be notified.

To Register

Registration forms are now available below. All three documents need to be completed and turned in to reserve your child's space.  Forms may be turned in at the Lincoln Office or at the Lincoln Lion's Den registration booth at Lincoln school (before and after school). Forms may also be turned in at the Club's main office on Circle Blvd. Printed registration forms are also available at all three locations. A program registration fee is also due each trimester. Fees can be paid in full or broken into a payment plan for an additional $25.
