Middle School Volunteer Opportunities
Middle school teen volunteers are an important part of our Safety Town Program. They get to help teach pre-Kindergartners important safety concepts at Safety Town! We will be selecting approximately 75 middle school teen volunteers to assist the Safety Town staff in teaching safety concepts such as dog safety, bike safety, fire safety and more! Each Teen instructor will be paired up and help supervise five to eight children. The volunteer opportunity for Safety Town is part of our Be Great by 8th middle school teen program, and open preferentially to current Boys & Girls Club middle school members. The goal of Be Great by 8th is to help middle school youth develop their full potential as productive, responsible, caring & contributing members of their community. If you have a middle school aged child who is interested in volunteering, please contact Amanda Garcia (agarcia@bgccorvallis.org) for an application.
