Elementary age kids enjoy our camp because of interaction with children
their own age and the wide variety of activities offered. Parents appreciate
our camp because they know it is state-certified, quality care for their
kids. Our small group size and low adult-to-child ratio are critical
in providing a comfortable atmosphere for participants. Additionally,
the release of children is monitored to ensure that they are released
to the appropriate person.

Summer Day Camp operates out of the Boys & Girls Club of Corvallis
facility at 1112 NW Circle Blvd. Camp participants will enjoy our Computer
Lab, Game Room (pool, Ping-Pong, foosball, bumper pool), Art Center, gym,
and many other fun program spaces. Breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack
will be provided at no additional fee for each child (Breakfast and lunch
are prepared by the Corvallis School District).
Each session is a week-long theme adventure designed to evoke a creative
process that frees children as they enter the Old Wild West, become
a seaworthy pirate, or walk among Hollywood Superstars. Within each
week-long theme session, there are four activity paths a child may take.
Children choose to participate in either sports, drama, science & nature,
or arts & crafts. Kids also enjoy spending time in the computer lab
and games room. Each day is also appropriately designed to allow children
to choose activities that include quiet and active games with both small
and large group interaction.

We feel that positive adult interactions are crucial to a child’s well
being, so we have made finding quality staff a priority. We hire youth
development professionals with backgrounds in early childhood development,
education, recreation and other child-related areas. Our staff all have
First-Aid/CPR Training and undergo a criminal background check. We staff
our camp at an approximate ratio of one adult for every 15 children.
