Athletics Disclaimer

Our goal in Athletics is to provide a safe, comprehensive, equitable, and fun sporting environment for all involved. The BGCC Athletics Department has the right to modify, add, or move players or teams at any time to align with our goal that creates quality programs.

Scholarships

We believe that all children should have the opportunity to participate in Boys & Girls programs. A limited number of partial scholarships are available to families who qualify for financial assistance. If you would like to be considered for a scholarship, you must apply in person.  Proof of income is required.

Important Updates
General Information

This is an introductory program to the sport of Track & Field for boys and girls in grades K-5th. (Middle School Track is run through local middle schools). Participants will practice 2-3 times per week at the Linus Pauling track and compete in meets throughout the Valley, mostly on Saturday mornings. Participants have the option of events to compete in, but will be introduced to field, sprints and distance events during the practices. Boys and girls will practice together, but compete against their own grades and genders. Ribbons are awarded at each meet for athletes that place. The participation fee includes a team meet long sleeve shirt. All participants will need to provide running shoes, shorts, sweat pants, jacket and a water bottle.

Program Registration Fee:

2nd-5th Grade $130

K-1st Grade $90

 

Parent Information Meeting February 7th at 6:30pm at the Boys & Girls Club.  Coaches meeting to follow.
