** Opening hours differ based on CSD bell schedules for both Middle School and High School.

Spring Break & Upcoming Events

Our Spring Break hours will be:

• Monday – Wednesday: 2:30-5:30 PM
• Thursday & Friday: Closed for 3v3 Basketball Tournament (INFO BELOW)

🏀 The Teen Center is hosting their 2nd annual SPRING BREAK  3v3 BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT! 🏀 The event is open to middle school (Mar. 27th) and high school (Mar. 28th) teens. Teams of 3 will compete for the CASH PRIZE! 🏆 Register your team here!

Teen Programs Offered at the Johnson Teen Center

Come Join Our Life Changing Programs!

The Johnson Teen Center (JTC) offers everything from fun social interactions with friends, to homework help, to leadership training, and even job readiness!

SMART Girls (Middle School & High School Groups)

SMART Girls is a small-group health, prevention/education and self-esteem enhancement program for those youth that identify as female. Through group discussions, field trips, and mentoring opportunities with adult women, SMART Girls explore their own attitudes and values as they build skills to live a healthy life filled with positive relationships with peers and adults.

Torch Club (7th – 8th grade)

Torch Club is the middle school leadership and community service club. Torch Club is a powerful vehicle through which Club staff and middle school teens can develop strong bonds and lasting friendships through group projects and Club based service projects. Each year, Torch Club members from all over the country take part in a community service experience through the National Torch Club Project.

Keystone (9th – 12th grade)

Keystone affords high school teens an opportunity to gain valuable leadership and service experience that helps build strong soft skills that will support future success. Teens conduct research looking at relevant and important topics that impact other teens in the community. They then design and implement a high impact community service project to enhance their local community. For teens looking to enhance their leadership skills, this is the right program for them!

Training Teens for Tomorrow (T3) Workforce Readiness (10th-12th grade)

Come join our premier job training program at the Johnson Teen Center. The T3 program puts teens in grades 10th – 12th through a hands-on job training experience building skills that employers want. Teens will progress through three steps each designed to build skills and knowledge to be successful in the real world. Club Retail (7th -8th grade)

Club Retail is all about developing and nurturing that entrepreneurial spirit! Teens build skills through running their very own in-house retail store. They get hands on experience in:

• Customer Service
• Sales
• Inventory management and display
• Marketing and Promotions

Club Retail helps build and develop the foundational soft skills that employers want including reliability, teamwork, dependability, and communication. These skills combined with exposure into potential career pathways after graduation help build understanding and connections to school and ensure on-time progression into high school.

Tutoring Services 

We provide free tutoring services to teens in the Teen Center space afterschool on Tuesdays, Thursdays, & Fridays. Work 1-on-1 with a free tutor or in a group setting with peers and a tutor. Connect with us and let us know what subject you would like tutoring in!

We currently offer free tutoring in these subjects:

• Math tutoring
• Writing and essay tutoring and support
• Science tutoring
